Topsy Turvy Zebra...again....and again....and again!

This seems to be one of the most popular designs around here lately!

Each time I try and change it up a little, different colors, different toppers.

Stars on wires.

Curly fondant ribbons
Hot pink and black combination
Hot pink and lime green
Turquoise and Chocolate Stripes!

I learn new tricks each time I make this cake.  I love that even though each cake starts with the same basic design, each one is unique on it's own.  Hand cut striping allows for no two cakes ever being the same.

  1. I LOVE the angles on that first cake (Makayla's). My daughter's having sugery tomorrow, and I'd like her get-well cake to have great lines like those. I usually carve my topsy turvy tiers so that the bottom is 2" smaller than the top. Do you do something different, or are you just better at it than me? :) I understand if you don't want to share your secrets :) All of your cakes are beautiful!!
