It is a lot of fun to make a cake that is a present. This cake is a "present" for Destiny. Her girlfriends and her took a girl's weekend to celebrate and her friends brought this along.
It is a vanilla almond sour cream cake with chocolate buttercream icing......man this cake smells soooooo yummy! Hope it made the car ride there!
This is the side view. I love it when buttercream cooperates with me to get smooth edges and sharp corners!
Here is a close up of the bow and tag. I embossed the fondant with a swirly pattern before I cut the strips and formed the bow. I think it really helps give it a realistic look.
