3D Flower with Ladybug

A colorful daisy with a ladybug on top.  That was the request.

I love to see the new themes people choose!  This is Raegen's 2nd birthday and 2nd cake from me!

Here is the feedback I received!
Karen,
Once again, you've outdone yourself! Raegen's 2nd birthday cake, the ladybug on the daisy, was so cute! It was a shame to have to cut it, but since we knew from experience just how wonderful the cake was going to be, we dove right in!! It is so obvious how much love & time you put into your cakes. Thank you for making Raegen's day so special!

50th Wedding Anniversary

50 Year Anniversary is the Golden anniversary.

A lovely celebration held at Savannah Quarters Country Club, called for a delicious cake from Cake Believe!

Frosted in buttercream, and hand piped with buttercream scrolls.
The monogram plaque is made from fondant and painted with gold luster dust.  The 50 on top is also made from fondant.
I was actually able to paint luster dust on the buttercream word once it crusted.....how fun is that?

Happy 50th!  And many, many more!

Baby Gender Reveal Cake

Finding out what gender your new baby will be is always an exciting part of becoming a parent.

New ways to announce what your baby will be to your friends and family is also a very fun experience.

Jana heard a story about having a party and revealing the gender of the baby to everyone.  She said she wanted gender neutral colors and a polka dot theme.  And since nobody knew the gender a big question mark to keep people guessing.  I decided to add the male and female symbols as an accent.
Sounds fun, right?!
Well heck yeah!
Because the only way you're finding out the baby's gender at Jana's party.....
is to cut open the cake!

Tinting the cake either pink or blue, so when the parents to be cut the cake everyone can SEE!

Jana sent me a picture of the cake once it was cut.  She said the party was a blast.
I love being a small part of such an important day for someone's family!
Congratulations on your baby BOY to be!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries Cuppies!

What could be more delicious than a vanilla almond sour cream cupcake, topped with delicious chocolate buttercream and THEN topped with a Valrhona chocolate covered strawberry????

Probably nothing.
Happy Birthday Hollie!

Pink Bow Gift

The "gift" cake.  It is such a great idea to buy a gift that is edible!

This cake is frosted in buttercream and adorned with a fondant bow and gift tag.
Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?

Firetruck Party

For Brett's 2nd birthday (click link to check out her party blog), his mom asked the local volunteer fire department to bring a truck to the house and let the kids learn and have fun! What a wonderful idea!

She also wanted a cake that would fit that theme.

So here is the top view of his cake.

And here is the front view.

And just for fun a quick close up of the panels.

Everything is edible! I used fondant and chocolate for accents. You can even tell I used OREO's for the tires!

Happy 2nd Birthday Brett!

1000 Ideas...

I have been holding off telling anyone about this.....

But I can't contain it any longer.

Available October 1st....

AND......

I actually have a cake that was chosen to be published!!!

I know it's only 1 cake out of 1000....but still!

My first ever real publication!

I am getting several copies.....so be on the look out for a GIVEAWAY when I get them in my hot little hands!

Thanks for following me and sharing your ideas with me too.

Cake friends are the SWEETEST!!!

Bakugan

Bakugan Battle Brawlers!!!

Sheet cakes are always a challenge.  So much area to cover with a design!

I took the look of a Bakugan card with the red and yellow flame look and translated it in a color friendly fashion.  You still get the idea of flames/explosion....without a mouthful of red icing!!!

Happy Birthday Nicholas

Toy Story ..... 3!

Carson is turning 3.

And thanks to Pixar Entertainment....Toy Story has been revived for a new generation!
How lucky that Toy Story  3 fit the bill for his party!
He was very specific that he wanted Woody, Buzz and especially Jessie (she is his favorite!) on his cake.

The characters are made out of buttercream and Carson's name and the number 3 are made from modeling chocolate.....to resemble the Toy Story 3 Logo!
Happy Birthday Carson!

Bowling for Cupcakes

Another bowling party at Frames N Games

These cuppies are topped with swirled buttercream icing and a hand-drawn chocolate bowling pin and ball.
Can't forget the colorful sprinkles!

Ribbons and Flowers

A quick cake for Grandma's birthday.  When I asked about hobbies, favorite colors or other ideas, I was given free reign to design what I wanted.
(That is one of my favorite things to do)

The perfect opportunity to work with my fun new clay gun!  More modeling chocolate ribbons and flowers.
Happy Birthday!

Heart Strings Anniversary

Caroline called for an anniversary cake.  Something small and simple.

I asked what their favorite colors are, what fun things they do together.  She listed many fun and adventurous things, but said their favorite thing to do was cuddle on the couch together.

So her favorite color is pink, his is blue.

I made a pink and blue heart on a chocolate couch.
The sides are "heart strings".  They are intertwined just like the happy couples love for each other.
I just bought a new tool that helped me create these modeling chocolate ribbons.
(And I'm having fun with it!)

Hope you have a marvelous anniversary!

1st Anniversary!

If you've been following my blog for awhile, then you will remember Liz and Dave's wedding cake

It has been a year and I wanted to make a fresh topper for them to celebrate with.

Happy Anniversary Liz and Dave!
Wishing you MANY, MANY more!

Puppy Painter

Colin is a lucky boy.

His mom wanted him to have a special cake for his 10th birthday and when she asked him what theme he wanted, he said dachsunds!
You see they have pet dachshunds and they are so sweet.
I wanted to make a creative cake that was "interactive" with the dog.....
so here is Colin's Puppy Painted Party Cake!

The puppy walked in the paint and made his way up the cake and wrote the birthday message with his tail!

He stopped to create some graffiti on his way to the top.

I love the little pawprints and I gave the top a white bone border.

Happy 10th Colin!

24 Carrot Cake

A simple but classic design for a carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
24 Carrot Cake to be exact.  For that rare and special person!

Happy Birthday Mrs. Christain!

Black and White 50th Birthday

Black and White is ALL the rage these days!  And I love it because it is such a basic color palette but you can create so many designs with it.

For a surprise 50th birthday, I was asked to create a tiered cake, black and white as the theme keep it classy.
I hope the birthday girl was surprised and you celebrated all weekend long!
Happy 50th Laura Lee!

90th Bingo Birthday

90 Years

I mean seriously, living and loving for 90 years!

Amazing!

For Minnie's 90th birthday we went with a theme of Bingo, since it is one of her favorite pasttimes.
This is a buttercream frosted cake with fondant accents.  I made a diagonal bingo with the birthday age to include the special color "free space" 90.
Then I created the bingo markers from green jolly rancher candy that I melted and cut into circles.  I wanted to be able to see through the markers!
Happy 90th Birthday Minnie!  And many, many more!
